Dr. Angelica Damore has been practicing in the field of Social Work for over 25 years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach. Driven by a lifelong passion for helping others, she went on to achieve her Doctorate of Social Work from the University of Southern California.
Dr. Damore specializes in working with adults, veterans, families, and in the field of gerontology. Throughout her career, she has supported diverse populations across various healthcare settings throughout California. She also has extensive experience providing care to terminally ill patients, helping them and their families navigate the mental, emotional, and social challenges associated with end-of-life care.
In the private sector, Dr. Damore continues to serve individuals and families affected by complex illnesses and injuries. Her clinical practice incorporates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Interventions. She works with clients to address a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Damore enjoys spending quality time with her family—including her beloved umbrella cockatoos. She finds restoration in nature walks, meditation, and listening to the calming sound of ocean waves at her favorite coastal retreats.
